Job Description

San Joaquin General Hospital is seeking PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its anesthesia care team at a busy trauma hospital serving the Stockton and French Camp area of California. This is a flexible 1099 opportunity designed for experienced CRNAs who want control over their schedules while maintaining exposure to a broad and engaging case mix.

CRNAs in this role will practice within a care team model and have access to a wide range of shift options, including 8-, 10-, 12-, 16-, and 24-hour shifts. Both day and night coverage is available, with weekday and weekend opportunities depending on department needs. The department supports flexible scheduling arrangements such as one week on/one week off or two weeks on/two weeks off, making this position ideal for PRN clinicians seeking balance and autonomy.

The clinical environment offers exposure to trauma anesthesia along with gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, limited vascular cases, and occasional healthy pediatric cases. There are no cardiac cases. This position is well suited for CRNAs comfortable in higher-acuity settings who enjoy variety and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for trauma and surgical cases
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and perioperative teams
• Manage patients across a variety of surgical specialties
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient safety standards

Compensation & Schedule

• $180 per hour, 1099 independent contractor
• Daily pay range approximately $1,200–$3,600 depending on shift length
• Flexible PRN scheduling with multiple shift options

Job Requirements

• Active California CRNA license
• Current NBCRNA certification
• Comfort with trauma and diverse surgical cases
