Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia (DNPNA)

The DNPNA program at Roseman University equips registered nurses with the knowledge and skills necessary to become CRNAs. Program Requirements

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Licensure:
  • Unencumbered license as a registered professional nurse and/or an advanced practice registered nurse in the United States or its territories, with eligibility for licensure in Nevada.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of one year (two years preferred) of current, full-time critical care nursing experience.
• Academic Performance:
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; science GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
• Certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
• Prerequisite Coursework:
  • Courses in anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and statistics completed within the past 10 years with a grade of ‘B’ or better.

• Accreditation: The DNPNA program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
• Clinical Experience: Students participate in clinical rotations primarily located in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, providing exposure to diverse patient populations and anesthesia practices.
• Simulation Training: The program incorporates high-fidelity simulation to enhance clinical skills and decision-making abilities.
