Program Requirements
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Licensure:
- Unencumbered license as a registered professional nurse and/or an advanced practice registered nurse in the United States or its territories, with eligibility for licensure in Nevada.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year (two years preferred) of current, full-time critical care nursing experience.
- Academic Performance:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; science GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
- Prerequisite Coursework:
- Courses in anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and statistics completed within the past 10 years with a grade of ‘B’ or better.
