Job Description

San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, Colorado is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its all-CRNA anesthesia practice. This W-2 hospital-employed opportunity offers the ability to practice independently in a collegial environment alongside surgeons and hospital staff.

The position involves a broad mix of cases including OB/GYN, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, urology, radiology, and trauma. CRNAs also assist with trauma backup, airway support for ICU and emergency department cases, and occasional line placement in the ICU.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across a range of surgical specialties
• Practice independently within an all-CRNA anesthesia model
• Perform regional anesthesia, spinal, and epidural procedures
• Provide trauma and airway backup for ICU and emergency department cases
• Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $300,000 – $330,000
• $30,000 sign-on bonus (3-year commitment)
• 10 weeks paid vacation
• Time-and-a-half pay for hours worked over 40

Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• NBCRNA certification required or in the examination process
• Colorado state license required
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• New graduates welcome

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time W-2 hospital-employed position
• All-CRNA independent practice model
• First call rotation every fifth night
• Post-call day off provided
• No second call responsibilities
• Practice limited to one hospital
• Hospital census under 51 patients with fewer than 51 licensed beds
