Job Description

Suncoast Gas is seeking multiple Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a 1099 independent contractor role at a well-established ambulatory surgery center in Sarasota. This position offers predictable daytime hours, a consistent case mix, and the opportunity to gain regional anesthesia experience in a professional ASC setting.

The practice operates under a medically directed model and is structured to support efficiency, safety, and collaboration. CRNAs will work alongside an experienced surgical and anesthesia team in an environment free from hospital bureaucracy, call obligations, or overnight responsibilities. This role is well-suited for CRNAs seeking stability, flexibility, and balance while maintaining an active clinical practice.

Cases include a diverse outpatient mix with a strong orthopedic focus, including total joints, as well as general surgery, spine cases, and pain procedures. Pediatric cases are minimal. Regional training is available, making this an attractive opportunity for CRNAs interested in expanding or refining regional anesthesia skills. ASC or orthopedic experience is preferred but not required.

The schedule is Monday through Friday only, with no call, no nights, no weekends, and no holidays. Each scheduled workday includes an 8-hour guaranteed minimum. Compensation is provided on a 1099 basis at an hourly rate, with malpractice coverage included or an allowance available for those carrying their own policy.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited CRNA program
  • Active CRNA certification
  • Florida CRNA license (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • PALS optional
  • ASC or orthopedic experience preferred, not required
