Job Description

Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its nationally recognized pediatric anesthesia team in Houston, Texas. This faculty-level CRNA Instructor role offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity pediatric environment while contributing to the academic and clinical mission of one of the country’s leading children’s hospitals. New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, with a dedicated onboarding and orientation program designed specifically for clinicians entering pediatric anesthesia practice.

Practice Environment

  • Care team model with CRNAs and anesthesiologists only

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care to pediatric patients across a broad range of surgical specialties
  • Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans
  • Administer intravenous, spinal, and other anesthetic techniques as indicated
  • Insert and manage invasive and noninvasive monitoring lines
  • Participate in emergency and code response when required
  • Document anesthetic care and patient responses accurately
  • Assist with supervision and education of student nurse anesthetists

Compensation & Benefits

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia
  • Current NBCRNA certification or eligibility
  • Active Texas RN/APRN license or ability to obtain
  • PALS certification required
  • New graduates welcome
