Program Tracks

  • Post-Master’s DNP: Designed for advanced practice registered nurses seeking a terminal degree to enhance their clinical expertise and leadership skills.
  • BSN to DNP – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Focus: Prepares registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to become Family Nurse Practitioners, providing comprehensive primary care across the lifespan.

Program Length

  • Post-Master’s DNP: Can be completed in as little as two years.
  • BSN to DNP – FNP Focus: Duration varies based on individual progression plans.

Credit Hours

  • Post-Master’s DNP: 35 credit hours.

Program Requirements

  • Educational Background:
    • For Post-Master’s DNP: A master’s degree with a major in nursing from a program accredited by a federally recognized nursing education accrediting body.
    • For BSN to DNP – FNP Focus: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure:
    • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Experience:
    • Relevant clinical nursing experience is preferred.
  • Academic Performance:
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in upper-level major courses and 2.8 overall.
  • Prerequisite Coursework:
    • Successful completion with grades of “B” or higher in undergraduate basic statistics and research courses.
