Job Description

The University of Utah is seeking a full-time CRNA to join our elite team of anesthesia professionals. Work in a dynamic and innovative academic health center offering a wide variety of case types and collaborative practice in a Level 1 trauma center, regional cancer hospital, and outpatient surgical suites.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full-spectrum anesthesia care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Participate in a team-based model within a supportive environment of anesthesiologists and surgeons
• Perform anesthesia for diverse surgical procedures with access to advanced equipment and pharmacy resources

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $170,000–$190,000
• Total compensation package: $215,000–$239,000
• Daily overtime pay: $125/hour for any minutes over scheduled time
• Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment
• 401(a) retirement plan with 14.2% employer contribution and full immediate vesting
• 45–52 days of PTO (CME, sick, vacation, holidays) depending on years of service
• Comprehensive health and dental insurance – 90% employer-paid
• Malpractice insurance fully covered
• Annual CME funding of $3,000 (carryover allowed)
• Licensing, certifications (ACLS/BLS/PALS), memberships, and mobile phone paid by department

Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Eligible for Utah state licensure
• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care in an academic setting

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, 40 hours/week with flexible scheduling
• Daily overtime available
• Infrequent first call, with post-call day off typically granted
• No second call
