Job Description

An academic-affiliated anesthesia practice in Daytona Beach, Florida is recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join a multidisciplinary team serving a Level II Trauma Center and affiliated surgical facilities. This University of Florida–aligned regional practice provides CRNAs with broad clinical exposure, long-term career stability, and access to public-sector benefits not commonly available in private anesthesia groups.

CRNAs in this role practice within a medically directed model and participate in anesthesia care across multiple clinical sites, including a regional trauma hospital, a freestanding surgery center, and a smaller community hospital without overnight call. The case mix spans multiple specialties, allowing providers to maintain and expand clinical skills while working within a structured academic framework.

Clinical Scope

  • Neurosurgery and interventional stroke procedures
  • Orthopedic, vascular, urologic, and colorectal surgery
  • General and bariatric surgery
  • Gynecology and routine outpatient pediatric cases
  • Low to moderate volume obstetric anesthesia with Level III NICU support
  • Cardiac anesthesia covered by CV-trained anesthesiologists with CRNA participation based on experience

Schedule & Call Structure

  • CRNAs self-schedule approximately 80 percent of their work calendar
  • Weekend backup call is limited and shared equitably across the CRNA team
  • Additional coverage occurs during two annual high-volume trauma periods
  • Overtime and extra shift compensation paid biweekly

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $220,000–$260,000
  • Sign-on bonus available with multi-year commitment

Job Requirements

  • Florida CRNA licensure
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • NBCRNA certification
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • New graduates encouraged to apply
