Job Description

Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, Virginia, is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). The role involves administering general/regional anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care for ASA Class I-V patients undergoing procedures such as orthopedics, endoscopy, general surgery, and some trauma. No cardiac or neuro cases. The facility offers a supportive, collaborative environment with access to modern medical and psychiatric services. Competitive pay, flexible scheduling (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts), and continuing education opportunities are available. Additional benefits include Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility, employer-funded pension, subsidized childcare, relocation assistance, and annual merit increases.

Job Qualifications

– Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia.
– Current Virginia RN and Practitioner licensure with the Virginia State Board of Nurse Examiners.
– ACLS/PALS certification (training available at Carilion Clinic).
– Board certification or eligibility required.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Annual Estimated Salary or Payment

– $220,000 – $250,000 annually.
– $50,000 sign-on bonus.
– Extra shift compensation available.
