Job Description

Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking full-time and part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its Level I Trauma Center. This hospital-employed W-2 position offers a broad case mix within a large, established anesthesia department.

SRNAs actively enrolled in or accepted into a CRNA program may apply. The anesthesia department includes approximately 50 anesthesiologists and 50 CRNAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across a wide range of surgical specialties in a Level I trauma setting
• Practice within a hospital-based anesthesia care team
• Participate in diverse case types including trauma and specialty services
• Utilize institutional systems and protocols to ensure safe, high-quality care

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $270,000 – $287,000
• $50,000 sign-on bonus (3-year commitment)
• $10,000 relocation assistance
• 9 weeks paid time off

Job Requirements

• NBCRNA certification required (or in examination process)
• Massachusetts state licensure required
• Current ACLS certification
• PALS certification negotiable
• No subspecialty fellowship required
• New graduates welcome

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Shift options: 8, 10, or 12 hours
• No Sundays worked
• Extremely limited Saturdays and holidays
• No first call responsibilities
• Hospital-employed position at a 759 Chestnut Street campus
