Job Description

Benefis Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its anesthesia team with a dedicated focus on obstetric anesthesia at a Level II Trauma Center in Great Falls, Montana. This role is centered on Labor and Delivery coverage with a unique 24-hour in-house shift model and a high degree of clinical autonomy.

CRNAs in this position practice independently while providing anesthesia care for obstetric procedures, including cesarean sections and labor epidurals. The schedule is structured to allow significant time off each year, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts in outpatient surgical areas if desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric procedures including C-sections and labor epidurals
• Manage anesthesia for related procedures such as D&Cs, tubal ligations, cerclages, and blood patches
• Respond to obstetric and trauma-related anesthesia needs within the hospital
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative and peripartum period
• Maintain accurate and timely anesthesia documentation using Epic EMR

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated annual compensation range of $270,000 to $320,000
• W-2 employment status

Job Requirements

• Current CRNA certification in good standing
• Eligibility for CRNA licensure in the state of Montana
• Comfort practicing independently in an OB-focused role
• Strong clinical judgment in labor and delivery anesthesia
• Ability to participate in trauma response coverage

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position with approximately 90 in-house 24-hour shifts per year
• Labor and Delivery unit with two dedicated operating rooms
• Average of 4–6 obstetric procedures per shift
• Approximately 115 deliveries per month
• Level III NICU located one floor below the unit
• Dedicated call room provided
