Job Description

Benefis Health System, a Level II trauma center in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for our Labor and Delivery unit. This position offers 24-hour in-house shifts, complete practice autonomy, and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts in outpatient surgical areas such as Ambulatory Surgery, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, and Radiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric patients, including C-sections, labor epidurals, D&C’s, tubal ligations, blood patches, and cerclages.
• Manage an average of 4–6 procedures per day in the L&D unit.
• Respond to trauma calls in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with Level III NICU staff located one floor down.
• Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR.
• Practice 100% independently while ensuring safe, evidence-based anesthesia care.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $270,000 – $320,000 (W-2).
• 275 days off per year (90 in-house 24-hour shifts annually).
• 7 weeks of vacation.
• Base pay increases with years of service.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Current Montana CRNA license (or eligibility).
• NBCRNA certification or recertification.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong skills in obstetric anesthesia and independent practice.
