Job Description

Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time position. The CRNA will be responsible for providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and immediate post-operative anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic procedures. The role includes pre-anesthesia assessments, anesthetic care plans, airway management, administration of general and regional anesthesia, and post-operative assessments. Clinical teaching opportunities are available for those interested in mentoring Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
– State licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Massachusetts.
– Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
– Certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
– Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Skills:
– General anesthesia, blocks, epidurals.
– Pre-anesthesia assessments and care plans.
– Proficiency in airway management, mechanical ventilation, and monitoring techniques.
– Experience with a wide variety of case types, including general, OB, EP, neurosurgery, and orthopedic surgeries.

Annual Estimated Salary or Payment
