Program Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.

Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.

Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience is required. Acceptable critical care experience includes: ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), and ER (Emergency Room). To be a competitive applicant, your nursing experience should be acquired in a large teaching hospital or medical center. There is no specific type of intensive care nursing experience required. All types of intensive care nursing experience are acceptable.

Applicants must have a B average, or rank in the upper third of their graduating class at an institution whose status and programs are readily assessed.

Satisfactory scores on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).

A Statistics class that is equivalent to STAT 201 and also includes ANOVA must be completed within five years of registration or admission.

It is strongly encouraged that you shadow a CRNA or one of the graduate students (SRNAs) in the program. You can schedule a shadow day by contacting the Cleveland Clinic.
