Program Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
Eligibility of Ohio licensure as a registered nurse.
Minimum of one year experience in an adult critical care area. A minimum of two years experience is preferred. Examples of critical care units may include but are not limited to: Surgical ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Coronary ICU, or Medical ICU. Those who have experiences in other areas may be considered provided they can demonstrate competence with managing unstable patients, invasive monitoring, ventilators, and critical care pharmacology.
GPA of 3.0 or better preferred.
Graduate Record Examination (General Test) scores completed within the past five years.
Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). The CCRN is not required but preferred.
Undergraduate Course Prerequisites: Health Assessment, Statistics, and Research Methods.
