Job Description

The Kansas City VA Medical Center is seeking two full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and create anesthesia care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Administer general and regional anesthesia, including intraoperative monitoring and management
• Provide emergency airway and resuscitation services across the facility as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with VA protocols and patient safety standards
• Foster effective working relationships with interdisciplinary teams throughout the KCVA Health Care System

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $190,000–$240,000
• EDRP: Up to $40,000/year in tax-free student loan repayment (maximum $200,000 over 5 years)
• 15% recruitment incentive based on salary
• Traditional federal pension with 5-year vesting + federal 401(k) with 5% VA match
• Paid Time Off: 5 weeks Annual Leave + 2.5 weeks Sick Leave annually (Sick Leave accrues indefinitely)

• Overtime available for any hours worked after 3:15 PM

Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with active licensure in the U.S.
• Eligible for federal employment and credentialing
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based hospital setting

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Call is optional and negotiable
• Overtime compensation for any work beyond 3:15 PM
• Serve a grateful Veteran population with a strong sense of mission and camaraderie
