Job Description

The MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its pediatric anesthesia group. This pediatric level-one academic trauma center features eight operating suites, two cardiac cath labs, procedure areas for endoscopy, minor procedures, and interventional radiology, as well as non-operating sites such as CT, MRI, and radiation oncology. CRNAs will provide coverage for all pediatric surgical specialties, including cardiovascular, trauma, oncology, transplant, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, ophthalmology, general surgery, dental, and plastics.

Job Qualifications

– Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Education Program.
– Certified or recertified by the National Board on Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
– Master’s degree (or higher) in Nurse Anesthesia (required for those hired after March 1, 2019).
– Current or eligible APRN licensure in South Carolina.
– Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers).
– Proficient in anesthesia equipment and knowledgeable about current anesthesia practices.
– Ability to establish effective working relationships with healthcare professionals.

Annual Estimated Salary or Payment

– $50,000 sign-on bonus.
