Job Description

Seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its long-standing independent anesthesia group at Morristown Hamblen Hospital in Morristown, Tennessee. For more than 40 years, this CRNA-owned practice has provided anesthesia services in a highly autonomous environment where providers are respected, supported, and trusted to practice at the top of their license.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Perform regional anesthesia procedures and peripheral nerve blocks
• Administer spinal anesthesia and epidural anesthesia
• Provide obstetric anesthesia services including labor epidurals
• Place arterial lines and manage perioperative anesthesia care
• Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative patient management
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and fellow CRNAs in a team-oriented environment

Job Requirements

• Current Tennessee CRNA license required
• NBCRNA certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Strong regional anesthesia and obstetric anesthesia skills preferred
• New graduates considered on a case-by-case basis
• No fellowship training required

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time W-2 employment
• 100% independent CRNA practice model
• Average workload of approximately 35 hours per week
• First-call rotation approximately every sixth night
• Second-call rotation approximately every seventh night
• Post-call day off always provided after first call
• 10 CRNAs in a CRNA-only practice
• Case mix includes general surgery, OB, GYN, orthopedics, urology, healthy pediatrics, cataracts, and outpatient surgery
• No cardiac, thoracic, neurosurgical, trauma, or major vascular cases
• CRNAs perform their own blocks and regional anesthesia procedures
• Cerner PowerChart electronic medical record system
