Job Description

Susquehanna Anesthesia Affiliates is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its well-established anesthesia team in Johnson City, New York. This W-2 opportunity offers a broad and challenging case mix, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced anesthesia team in a collaborative care model.

CRNAs provide anesthesia services for a wide variety of surgical specialties including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, and outpatient procedures. Salary is based on experience, with tuition reimbursement or a sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care using a medically directed care team model
• Administer anesthesia for neurosurgery, vascular, orthopedic, obstetric, outpatient, trauma, and general surgical procedures
• Perform spinal anesthesia and assist with regional anesthesia techniques
• Place arterial lines, central venous catheters, and epidurals as clinically indicated
• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and provide postoperative patient care
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, CRNAs, and perioperative staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary of $260,000-$270,000 based on experience
• $25,000 sign-on bonus
• 6 weeks paid vacation
• Time-and-a-half pay for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

• Current New York CRNA license required or eligible
• Current NBCRNA certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Competency with spinal anesthesia is required
• No fellowship training required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time W-2 position
• Predominantly five-day work week
• Care team model with 100% medical direction
• Occasional evening and night shifts
• Weekend call approximately every 6-7 weeks from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekday first or second call responsibilities
• Team includes 13 full-time anesthesiologists, 1 part-time anesthesiologist, 19 full-time CRNAs, 2 part-time CRNAs, and 4 anesthesia technicians
• Approximately 100% medically directed practice with induction performed by either the CRNA or anesthesiologist depending on the case
• Case mix includes neurosurgery, vascular, orthopedics, obstetrics, outpatient surgery, trauma, pediatrics, and regional anesthesia
