Job Description

A leading healthcare facility in Northern Illinois, located just 2.5 hours from Chicago, is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the opportunity to handle a diverse range of cases within a supportive care team model.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a range of surgical cases, including Bread & Butter (B&B), Orthopedics, and Level 1 Trauma.
• Optional: OB and Cardiac cases are a plus but not required.
• Perform epidurals and spinals independently if proficient.
• Work within a supervised care team model with a 1:2 or 1:3 CRNA-to-MD ratio.
• Ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures through effective monitoring and care adjustments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Daily rate: $2,400 – $2,500
• Flexible schedule: Choice of 5 x 10-hour shifts or 5 x 8-hour shifts (no 12-hour shifts)
• Emergency privileges available within 3–4 weeks
• Travel and housing provided
• Medical malpractice coverage included

Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible CRNA
• Active Illinois CRNA license (or ability to obtain)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred
• Ability to perform epidurals and spinals independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Locum tenens position
• 5 x 10-hour or 5 x 8-hour shifts
• No call required
• Supervised care model (1:2 or 1:3)
