CRNA Job – University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, CO)

Job Description

Join a nationally recognized academic medical center at Colorado’s #1 hospital (U.S. News). The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus is hiring CRNAs for flexible 0.6–1.0 FTE roles with day, evening, and night shift opportunities in a collaborative, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a broad mix of inpatient and outpatient cases (e.g., OB, Orthopedics, Cardiac, GI, General Surgery)
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessment, formulate plans, administer anesthesia, and manage post-anesthesia recovery
• Participate in perioperative optimization and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Optional clinical teaching/precepting of SRNAs/SAAs

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $225,000–$253,575 (experience-based) + $30,000 sign-on (3-year) + up to $10,000 relocation
• Variable pay: Pager $300/call shift; Hours worked $175/hour (as applicable)
• 8+ weeks paid leave/year: 22 vacation days (rolls to 44), 14 paid holidays, 5 CME days, plus 15 sick days
• Retirement: 5% employee contribution with 10% employer match; 403(b)/401(k)/457 & Roth options; immediate vesting
• Education: $3,500 annual professional funds (rollover), weekly grand rounds CE, tuition assistance (up to 12 credits/year)
• Licensure/dues covered: CO license reimbursement; NBCRNA recertification; BLS/ACLS/PALS; AANA/COANA membership
• Insurance: Occurrence malpractice (no cost), medical plans starting at $0 (family from $39), dental/vision, life & disability
• PSLF-eligible employer; Illinois Nurse Educator Loan Repayment and SRNA Grant information available for qualifying applicants

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program; current CRNA certification
• Eligible for Colorado RN/APRN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS (PALS supported)
• Strong team communication and ability to practice in an academic, high-acuity setting

Schedule & Work Environment

• Flexible FTE (0.6–1.0) with day/evening/night shifts
• Academic tertiary-care environment with full specialty support
• Average credentialing timeline: 3–4 months
