Job Description

Hendrick Health, a leading regional medical center in Abilene, Texas, is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its dynamic anesthesia team. This full-time position offers excellent compensation, a family-friendly schedule, and an opportunity to work across a diverse range of surgical cases in an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services for a mix of cases, including neuro, ortho, general surgery, GYN, vascular, ENT, plastics, and healthy pediatrics.
  • Participate in a structured ACT model with opportunities for autonomy and advanced procedures such as spinals, a-lines, and epidurals (if desired).
  • Maintain patient safety and quality care throughout all perioperative stages.
  • Participate in weekday and limited weekend call rotations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $290,000–$340,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
  • Call Stipend: $30,000 annually
  • Retention Incentive: $10,000 annually (for a 3-year commitment)
  • Overtime: $200/hr for extra shifts, weekends, or holidays
  • Schedule: 40-hour work week with optional prorating for flexibility
  • Call Schedule: 2–3 weekday shifts/month and 6 weekend calls/year (optional additional shifts available)
  • Relocation Allowance: $5,000
  • Paid Time Off: 7 weeks in the first year (includes 1 CME week; 8 weeks with tenure)
  • CME Allowance: $3,000 annually
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) with 3% company match; optional 457(b); malpractice coverage; paid AANA dues; free daily meals; reserved parking
  • Additional Perks: 1 week paid mission trip leave, additional paid sick time, and no state income tax

Job Requirements

  • Active CRNA license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
  • NBCRNA certification
