Job Description

A large, established hospital system in Northwest Indiana is hiring full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for a W-2 employed position in Hammond, Indiana. This role offers the stability of hospital employment combined with a manageable workload, modern facilities, and proximity to the Chicago metro area.

CRNAs in this position practice in a well-resourced anesthesia department with access to a broad range of operating rooms and non-operating room anesthesia locations. Daily case volume is reasonable, allowing providers to focus on safe, efficient patient care without excessive turnover pressure. The position is suitable for experienced CRNAs as well as newer graduates seeking structured support in a hospital setting.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position with a standard 40-hour work week
• Option to structure schedule as a four-day work week
• Average of approximately 2–10 patients per day
• 28 operating rooms plus extensive NORA coverage
• Non-operating room sites include GI suites, cardiac cath labs, and interventional radiology

Call Responsibilities

• Shared call structure
• One weekend of call per month
• Call integrated into the standard 40-hour work expectation

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly compensation of approximately $135 per hour
• $90,000 sign-on bonus
• Hospital-employed W-2 position
• Eight weeks of paid vacation

Job Requirements

• Active Indiana CRNA license or ability to obtain
• NBCRNA certification or in active examination process
• ACLS certification required
• Comfort working in a hospital-based anesthesia model
