Job Description

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is seeking a full-time CRNA to join their team. This independent contractor position offers a generous compensation package, including a $75,000 sign-on bonus for a 3-year commitment. The CRNA will work 7 PM to 7 AM shifts, with 17 weeks off per year, and an average of 42 hours per week.

The CRNA will rotate with two other CRNAs, with a 3-week rotation. For example:
– Week 1: Three 12-hour shifts
– Week 2: Four 12-hour shifts
– Week 3: Off/Vacation
The schedule is flexible and can be customized by the CRNA team to meet coverage needs and allow for longer time off if desired. Annual in-house hours are approximately 1,470, but actual work hours will be about 30% or less of those hours, with no elective or scheduled cases during the 7P-7A shift.

The CRNA will work exclusively at LewisGale Medical Center, a general adult-only Level 2 trauma center, which performs approximately 1,200 OB deliveries per year. There are no cardiac or transplant cases. Regional anesthesia opportunities, including epidurals, spinals, and peripheral nerve blocks, are available.

This is a collaborative Care Team model with solo QZ cases as needed, and there is no call required.

Job Qualifications

– Current CRNA license
– Experience with regional anesthesia (epidurals, spinals, PNBs)
– Ability to work independently in a collaborative Care Team model
– No cardiac or transplant cases required
– Ability to rotate shifts and take scheduled time off
– Ability to commit to a 3-year contract

Annual Estimated Salary or Payment

– Minimum: $330,000
– Maximum: $400,000
– Plus $75,000 sign-on bonus for a 3-year commitment
