Job Description

A community-based acute care hospital in Upstate South Carolina is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment beginning January 2026. This is a bread-and-butter anesthesia role in a low-acuity hospital environment with consistent surgical volume and a collegial OR team. The position is well-suited for CRNAs seeking a balanced schedule with predictable hours and manageable home call.

The CRNA will practice independently in a modern facility using Epic EMR, with no residents or fellows. Surgical services focus on routine cases with minimal complexity, offering an efficient and supportive clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for routine surgical procedures
• Manage bread-and-butter cases including General Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, and Orthopedics
• Practice independently within a community hospital setting
• Ensure safe perioperative anesthesia care across a wide adult patient population

Compensation & Benefits

• 1099 independent contractor position
• Hourly compensation of $200–$250+ based on coverage and commitment
• All-inclusive overtime and holiday rate at 1.35x

Schedule & Work Environment

• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Shift options: 4x10s (7am–5pm) or 5x8s (7am–3pm)
• Home call every other week (low volume)
• Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
• 8 operating rooms in a community hospital setting
• Epic EMR
