Job Description

A private practice anesthesia group is seeking a CRNA to join their team at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Missouri. This role focuses on obstetric anesthesia within a small, collaborative group, offering a highly flexible schedule and significant time off.

CRNAs will rotate through a structured three-week cycle that includes OB call, operating room coverage, and a full week off. This position is ideal for providers seeking a strong work-life balance with the opportunity to earn additional income during off weeks if desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric cases including labor epidurals and C-sections
• Participate in OB call coverage on a rotating schedule
• Deliver anesthesia services in the operating room during assigned weeks
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop care plans
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage recovery
• Collaborate with surgeons, OB teams, and clinical staff

Compensation & Benefits

• $250,000 – $330,000 annual compensation
• W-2 employed position
• Approximately 17 weeks off annually

Job Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
• Active or eligible Missouri license
• Experience or comfort with OB anesthesia required
• Ability to work in a rotating schedule model
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Schedule & Work Environment

• Three-week rotating schedule:
• One week OB call (not in-house, local response required)
• One week operating room coverage (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• One week completely off
• Approximately 800 deliveries per year
• 200-bed hospital setting
• Case mix includes general surgery, OB, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, and GI
• No cardiac, neuro, thoracic, trauma, or complex pediatric cases
• Small, close-knit team of CRNAs
