Job Description

The University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its renowned Department of Anesthesiology. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a top-tier academic medical center while collaborating with world-class clinicians and supporting the next generation of anesthesia providers. The CRNA will provide comprehensive anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties and acuity levels, contributing to UW’s mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management procedures.
• Conduct complete preoperative evaluations, develop anesthesia plans, and administer anesthetic agents tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions intraoperatively and respond promptly to physiological changes.
• Deliver postoperative care including airway management, fluid resuscitation, and patient recovery assessment.
• Collaborate closely with attending anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and residents.
• Participate in education and mentoring of student nurse anesthetists and anesthesia residents.
• Engage in departmental quality improvement and research initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary: $240,000 – $290,000 (based on experience and credentials)

Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
• National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification
• Current Washington State RN and ARNP licenses
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of anesthesia practice and patient safety
