Job Description

The University of Maryland School of Nursing, Baltimore, Nurse Anesthesia Program is currently recruiting two full-time faculty members to provide didactic education and support simulation and clinical activities for students in the Nurse Anesthesia program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide didactic education for Nurse Anesthesia students
  • Support simulation activities for students in the Nurse Anesthesia program
  • Support clinical activities for students in the Nurse Anesthesia program
  • Teach didactic courses for Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia students
  • Support simulation and clinical instruction of Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia students
  • Work collaboratively with didactic faculty and clinical preceptors across settings
  • Develop didactic coursework
  • Teach didactic coursework
  • Organize didactic coursework
  • Precept clinical experiences
  • Select students
  • Advise students
  • Mentor students
  • Participate in a program of scholarship

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $178,000.00 – $200,000.00
  • Hiring range: $178,000.00 – $200,000.00
  • Employment type: W2
  • UMB offers 22 vacation days

Job Requirements

  • CRNA Certification
  • Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field, or current doctoral student nearing completion of program of study
  • Current RN license in the state of Maryland
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a nurse anesthetist
  • Record of effective teaching or precepting is required
  • Experience with regional anesthesia is preferred
