Job Description
Millennium Surgery Center is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join a busy, high-volume ambulatory surgery center in Bakersfield, California. This is an independent practice, 1099 position offering exceptional earning potential, predictable weekday scheduling, and a strong quality-of-life focus. Practice Environment
This role is based in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center with an independent CRNA practice model. CRNAs work autonomously at the top of their license and are integral to maintaining efficient, high-quality perioperative care.
Case Mix & Clinical Scope
- General surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Orthopedic surgery (fast-paced)
- Outpatient anesthesia services
- Regional anesthesia as part of routine practice
Schedule & Call
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 8- and 10-hour shifts
- No routine first call
- Two back-up call shifts per week at adjacent hospital (salary contingent)
- Start date: Immediate
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care in an ASC setting
- Administer spinal anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks as indicated
- Occasional arterial line and central venous access placement
- Manage perioperative anesthesia plans independently
- Ensure safe, efficient patient flow in a high-volume environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Employment model: 1099 independent contractor
- Starting annual compensation: $450,000+
- Malpractice insurance provided
- Coverage limits: $2M / $4M
- No income cap listed
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- NBCRNA certification required
- Active California CRNA license or ability to obtain
- ACLS and PALS required
- New graduates welcome
