Job Description
A surgery center in Torrance, California is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a PRN opportunity providing anesthesia services for ophthalmology procedures. This position operates in a CRNA-only practice model and focuses exclusively on monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases.
The surgeon performs the eye blocks, allowing the CRNA to focus on sedation and patient monitoring throughout the procedure. The role requires independent practice in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide monitored anesthesia care for ophthalmology procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia patient assessments
- Administer sedation and continuously monitor patient vital signs
- Maintain airway management and patient stability during procedures
- Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care
- Work collaboratively with surgical staff to maintain efficient case flow
Compensation & Benefits
- Daily compensation ranging from $1,000 to $1,200
- 1099 independent contractor opportunity
- Predictable PRN schedule
Job Requirements
