Job Description
Crossing Rivers Health is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its anesthesia team in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. This unique part-time opportunity offers an exceptional work-life balance with a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off schedule, resulting in approximately 26 weeks off each year while maintaining a .74 FTE position.
CRNAs practice independently and provide a full scope of anesthesia services across surgical, obstetric, and emergency care settings. This role is ideal for providers seeking professional autonomy, a broad clinical practice, and the opportunity to live in one of the Midwest’s most scenic river communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties
- Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, specialty nerve blocks, and MAC sedation
- Provide obstetric anesthesia services including labor epidurals and intrathecal narcotics
- Respond to emergency anesthesia situations as needed
- Deliver acute pain management and analgesic services
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and postoperative patient care
- Provide anesthesia services for patients of all ages and physical classifications

Job Requirements
- Current NBCRNA certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current PALS certification required
- Ability to independently provide the full scope of CRNA services
- Experience with obstetric anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and emergency response preferred
- New graduates are not being considered for this position
Schedule & Work Environment
- Part-time 0.74 FTE hospital-employed position
- Two weeks on / two weeks off schedule
- Approximately 26 working weeks and 26 weeks off annually
- Shared call rotation during scheduled work weeks
- Typically alternating first-call responsibilities during working weeks
- Independent CRNA practice model
- Single hospital practice location
- Full-spectrum anesthesia practice including surgical, obstetric, regional, and emergency anesthesia services
