Job Description
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital & Trauma Center is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a permanent W-2 position. Under general supervision, the CRNA administers anesthesia to render patients insensitive to pain during operations, deliveries, and therapeutic or diagnostic procedures, monitors patients for adverse reactions, takes appropriate remedial action, and maintains detailed anesthesia records throughout the perioperative period.
Practice Environment
This is a hospital-based trauma center role in a medically directed care team model. CRNAs collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and nursing staff on specialized anesthesia matters while maintaining safe, efficient handling of anesthesia equipment, medications, and supplies.

- Broad hospital case exposure including neuro and critical care support as needed
Schedule & Workload

- Time-and-a-half pay for hours greater than 40 in a work week
Clinical Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia by inhalation, intravenous injection, epidural, spinal, and block methods
- Check anesthesia machines and resuscitation equipment to assure proper working order
- Assemble and maintain sterility of appropriate anesthesia equipment
- Evaluate pre-operative patient condition and document findings in the anesthesia record
- Administer appropriate anesthetic agents, adjunct medications, oxygen, and blood products when clinically indicated
- Monitor patients per ASA standards and adjust anesthetic levels to maintain safety and comfort
- Discontinue anesthesia at the conclusion of the procedure
- Accompany patient to recovery and provide a clinical report to receiving staff
- Maintain accurate anesthesia and narcotic records
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Employment Structure
- Employment model: W-2
- Annual compensation range: $280,000–$400,000
- Eligible for time-and-a-half pay for hours greater than 40 per week
Candidate Requirements
- Valid permanent or temporary California Registered Nurse (RN) license (including interim permit)
- Valid certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist
