Job Description
SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time (0.8–1.0 FTE) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the anesthesia team at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative care team model alongside 17 anesthesiologists and 77+ CRNAs within one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the country.
SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital is a 440-bed facility serving South Central Wisconsin since 1912 and is verified as an ACS Level II Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services across a diverse case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, GI, vascular, cardiothoracic, neuro, healthy pediatrics, and OB
- Deliver care across multiple procedural areas including main ORs, cardiovascular ORs, endoscopy, OB suites, imaging procedure rooms, and outpatient surgery centers
- Participate in shared call coverage (1st, 2nd, and 3rd call with occasional weekends)
- Collaborate within a large, established anesthesia care team

Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited CRNA program
- Eligible for Wisconsin licensure
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-Time position (0.8–1.0 FTE)
- Flexible scheduling options: 8, 10, 12, or 24-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Based at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison and affiliated surgery centers
- Facilities include:
- 12 ORs + 3 cardiovascular ORs
- 3 endoscopy rooms
- 3 OB suites
- Outpatient Surgery Center with 8 ORs + 2 endoscopy suites
- SSM Health SPOC (Sun Prairie Outpatient Surgery Center) – 6 ORs
