Job Description
SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the team at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This full-time position (0.8–1.0 FTE) offers the opportunity to practice within one of the largest multi-specialty, integrated healthcare delivery systems in the country.
CRNAs work in a highly collaborative environment alongside 17 anesthesiologists and more than 77 CRNAs, serving a busy Level II Trauma Center and affiliated outpatient facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services across a diverse case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, GI, vascular, cardiothoracic, neuro, healthy pediatrics, and OB
- Deliver care in multiple clinical settings including inpatient ORs, endoscopy, OB suites, and outpatient surgery centers
- Participate in shared call coverage (1st, 2nd, and 3rd call rotation with occasional weekends)
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited CRNA program
- Eligible for Wisconsin licensure
- Current ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS, and PALS certifications
Schedule & Work Environment
- Flexible scheduling options: 8, 10, 12, or 24-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Shared call model
- Practice based at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital and Surgery & Care Center
- Facilities include:
- 12 ORs + 3 cardiovascular ORs
- 3 endoscopy rooms
- 3 OB suites
- Multiple imaging procedure rooms
- Outpatient Surgery Center with 8 ORs + 2 endoscopy suites
- SSM Health SPOC (Sun Prairie Outpatient Surgery Center) – 6 ORs
