Program Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.

A current RN license in Pennsylvania.

A minimum of one year experience as a registered professional nurse where you’ve developed independent decision making skills, demonstrated psycho motor skills and the ability to use and interpret advanced monitoring based on knowledge of physiology and pharmacological principles. Acceptable critical care experience includes: ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Neonatal ICU, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit, or ER (Emergency Room).

A minimum 3.0 on the last 60 units of the baccalaureate program.

Minimum GRE score of 900.

Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) is highly recommended, but not required.

Course Prerequisites: Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Intro to Statistics course, Undergraduate nursing research course, and Intro to Computers (Recommended, not required). All with a B or better.
