Job Description
University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) interested in a combined pediatric and adult anesthesia practice. Located on the University of Minnesota Medical Center’s West Bank campus, this academic hospital provides a collaborative clinical environment working alongside anesthesiologists, SRNAs, and multidisciplinary care teams.
CRNAs participate in a wide range of surgical services across pediatric and adult patient populations while contributing to the education and mentorship of student nurse anesthetists within a major academic medical center.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for both pediatric and adult surgical procedures
- Participate in medically directed anesthesia care with anesthesiologists
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology staff, and clinical teams
- Assist with teaching and mentorship of SRNAs
- Provide perioperative anesthesia care including patient assessment and monitoring
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $260,000 – $284,000 annually (based on full-time 1.0 FTE)

Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Minnesota APRN license required
- NBCRNA certification required
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
- New graduates negotiable
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time W-2 hospital-employed position
- Medically directed anesthesia practice model
- No first or second call responsibilities
- Day, evening, and night shifts available with varying shift lengths
- Teaching hospital environment with physician residency and CRNA training programs
- Large academic anesthesia team including approximately 30 anesthesiologists and 90 CRNAs
