Job Description
A high-paying CRNA opportunity is available at Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass, Texas. This position offers a fully independent practice model with a consistent schedule, strong compensation, and significant time off throughout the year.
CRNAs will work in a supportive, family-oriented environment with manageable case volumes and the ability to take call from home. This role is ideal for providers seeking autonomy, predictable scheduling, and excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for general, orthopedic, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and OB cases
- Administer labor epidurals and spinal anesthesia
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop care plans
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and manage recovery
- Participate in call rotation with at-home call coverage
- Collaborate with clinical staff in an independent practice environment
Compensation & Benefits
- $425,000 annual compensation
- 1099 independent contractor position
- More than 12 weeks off annually (approximately 39 working weeks)

Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active Texas license required
- NBCRNA certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Ability to work independently without medical direction
- New graduates considered on a conditional basis
Schedule & Work Environment
- Typical schedule rotation: 7 days on, weekend off, 11 days on, 7 days off
- Call rotation approximately every 6th night (first and second call)
- All call is taken from home (no in-house call)
- Independent CRNA practice model
- Modest case volume with a balanced workload
- Case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, OB, podiatry, GI, and ophthalmology
- Minimal exposure to high-acuity cases (no cardiac or neuro)
- Small team including 1 anesthesiologist and 4 CRNAs
- Supportive and experienced clinical staff
- Convenient access to San Antonio
