Job Description

OrthoMed Anesthesia is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join its growing anesthesia team across premier surgical facilities throughout the Greater Houston metro area. This full-time opportunity offers the flexibility to choose either a 1099 independent contractor structure or W-2 employment, along with customizable scheduling and compensation options designed to support true work-life balance.

CRNAs will work in a collaborative, medically directed care-team model focused on high-quality outpatient surgical care. The practice offers predictable cases, strong professional support, and the benefits of private practice with ongoing educational development, including monthly Grand Rounds, block training, and access to a dedicated simulation lab.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for outpatient surgical procedures across Greater Houston facilities
• Administer anesthesia for orthopedic, regional, outpatient, and occasional pediatric cases
• Perform regional anesthesia techniques, spinal anesthesia, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks as appropriate
• Place arterial lines and central venous catheters as clinically indicated
• Conduct preoperative screening and support acute pain management services
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, anesthesia technicians, and perioperative teams
• Maintain efficient, safe, and patient-centered anesthesia care in a high-quality surgical setting

Job Requirements

• Current Texas CRNA license required
• NBCRNA certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Providers in the NBCRNA examination process are not accepted
• New graduates considered conditionally
• No fellowship training required
• Strong regional anesthesia skills preferred
• Ability to work within a medically directed care-team model

• Case mix includes orthopedics, outpatient surgery, regional anesthesia, acute pain, preop screening, occasional chronic pain, and rare pediatric cases
• No cardiac, thoracic, major vascular, OB, neuro, trauma, or critical care cases
• Team includes 4 full-time anesthesiologists, 2 part-time anesthesiologists, 8 full-time CRNAs, 11 part-time CRNAs, and 1 anesthesia technician
