Job Description

CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Jacksonville, Texas is seeking experienced and motivated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our Anesthesia Department. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity offering a high level of autonomy in an independent care model. The role involves providing anesthesia services for a wide range of cases, including pain management, orthopedics, vascular, GI, podiatry, and ketamine infusion therapy. No OB, trauma, hearts, or neuro cases are required. Providers will have the opportunity to learn and perform their own regional anesthetics.

The position offers a flexible schedule with no weekends or holidays. Shifts are typically 8 or 10 hours. Call is rotated evenly among staff with rare callbacks. Callback pay is provided at the premium rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical cases, including orthopedic, vascular, and pain management.
• Perform preoperative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
• Independently manage airway support, intubations, and regional blocks.
• Monitor patient response and adjust anesthesia care as needed.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and ensure smooth recovery for patients.
• Participate in team-based care in collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $230,000 – $300,000 annually based on experience
• Premium pay rate of $150/hour for any hours over 40 in a workweek
• Shift Differentials:
  • $12/hour for Evening (3-7 pm)
  • $14/hour for Nights (7 pm-7 am)
  • $16/hour for Weekends
• Call pay rate of $20/hour
• Holidays paid at 1.5x the base rate
• Sign-On or Student Stipend Incentive up to $55,000
• 403(b) Retirement Account with Employer Match (66 cents per dollar up to 6%)

• Paid Time Off:
  • 180 hours upfront in the first year
  • 240 hours starting the second year

Job Requirements

• Must be licensed in the state of Texas or eligible for Texas licensure
• Board Certification as a CRNA required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Ability to work independently in an autonomous model
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
